4. 8യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ശമൂവേലിനോടു: നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഞങ്ങളെ ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു രക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടി അവനോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നതു മതിയാക്കരുതേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
5. 9അപ്പോൾ ശമൂവേൽ പാൽ കുടിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ആട്ടിൻകുട്ടിയെ എടുത്തു യഹോവെക്കു സർവ്വാംഗഹോമം കഴിച്ചു. ശമൂവേൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു വേണ്ടി യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു; യഹോവ ഉത്തരമരുളി.
