എന്നാൽ യഹോവയോടു ചോദിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങളെ അയച്ച യെഹൂദാരാജാവിനോടു നിങ്ങൾ പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: നീ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന വചനങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു;

- 27ഈ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നും നിവാസികൾക്കും വിരോധമായുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ നീ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം അലിഞ്ഞു നീ അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിന്നെത്തന്നേ താഴ്ത്തുകയും എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിന്നെത്തന്നേ താഴ്ത്തി നിന്റെ വസ്ത്രം കീറി എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ കരകയും ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു ഞാനും നിന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
- 28ഞാൻ നിന്നെ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു ചേർത്തുകൊള്ളും; നീ സമാധാനത്തോടെ നിന്റെ കല്ലറയിൽ അടക്കപ്പെടും; ഞാൻ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നും നിവാസികൾക്കും വരുത്തുവാൻ പോകുന്ന അനർത്ഥമൊന്നും നിന്റെ കണ്ണു കാണുകയുമില്ല. അവർ രാജാവിനെ ഈ മറുപടി ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.
