അവൻ യെരീഹോവിൽ പാർത്തിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മടങ്ങിവന്നു; അവൻ അവരോടു: പോകരുതു എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞില്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

- 19അനന്തരം ആ പട്ടണക്കാർ എലീശയോടു: ഈ പട്ടണത്തിന്റെ ഇരിപ്പു മനോഹരമായതെന്നു യജമാനൻ കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ; എന്നാൽ വെള്ളം ചീത്തയും ദേശം ഗർഭനാശകവും ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
- 20അതിന്നു അവൻ: ഒരു പുതിയ തളിക കൊണ്ടുവന്നു അതിൽ ഉപ്പു ഇടുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവർ അതു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.
