സിദെക്കീയാവു വാഴ്ചതുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന്നു ഇരുപത്തൊന്നു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവൻ പതിനൊന്നു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വാണു; അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു ഹമൂതൽ എന്നു പേർ; അവൾ ലിബ്നക്കാരനായ യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ മകൾ ആയിരുന്നു.

Sidekkeeyaavu vaazhchatutangngiyappol avannu irupattonnu vayassaayirunnu; avan patinonnu sanvatsaram yerooshalemil vaanu; avante ammekku hamootal ennu per; aval libnakkaaranaaya yiremyaavinte makal aayirunnu.

20യഹോവയുടെ കോപം ഹേതുവായി യെരൂശലേമിന്നും യെഹൂദെക്കും അങ്ങനെ ഭവിച്ചു; അവൻ ഒടുവിൽ അവരെ തന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽനിന്നു തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു; എന്നാൽ സിദെക്കീയാവും ബാബേൽരാജാവിനോടു മത്സരിച്ചു.
