രാജാവു കേട്ടു എന്നെയും എന്റെ മകനെയും ഒന്നിച്ചു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അവകാശത്തിൽനിന്നു നശിപ്പിപ്പാൻ ഭാവിക്കുന്നവന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിക്കുമല്ലോ എന്നു അടിയൻ വിചാരിച്ചു.

- 14നാം മരിക്കേണ്ടുന്നവരല്ലോ: നിലത്തു ഒഴിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞതും വീണ്ടും ചേർത്തുകൂടാത്തതുമായ വെള്ളംപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവം ജീവനെ എടുത്തുകളയാതെ ഭ്രഷ്ടനായവൻ തനിക്കു ഇനിയും ഭ്രഷ്ടനായിരിക്കാതവണ്ണം മാർഗ്ഗം ചിന്തിക്കുന്നു.
- 15ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ യജമാനനായ രാജാവിനെ ഈ കാര്യം ഉണർത്തിപ്പാൻ വന്നതു ജനം എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുകകൊണ്ടാകുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഇപ്പോൾ രാജാവിനെ ഉണർത്തിക്കട്ടെ. പക്ഷേ രാജാവു അടിയന്റെ അപേക്ഷ പ്രകാരം ചെയ്യുമായിരിക്കും;

- 17യജമാനനായ രാജാവിന്റെ കല്പന ആശ്വാസമായിരിക്കട്ടെ; ഗുണവും ദോഷവും തിരിച്ചറിവാൻ യജമാനനായ രാജാവു ഒരു ദൈവദൂതനെപ്പോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും അടിയൻ വിചാരിച്ചു. അതുകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ.
- 18രാജാവു സ്ത്രീയോടു: ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു ഒരു കാര്യം ചോദിക്കുന്നു; അതു എന്നോടു മറെച്ചുവെക്കരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യജമാനനായ രാജാവു കല്പിച്ചാലും എന്നു സ്ത്രീ പറഞ്ഞു.
