ഇങ്ങനെ അവൻ സകല യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരുടെയും ഹൃദയം ഒന്നുപോലെ ആകർഷിച്ചു. ആകയാൽ അവർ: നീയും നിന്റെ സകലഭൃത്യന്മാരും മടങ്ങിവരുവിൻ എന്നു രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.

- 15അങ്ങനെ രാജാവു മടങ്ങി യോർദ്ദാങ്കൽ എത്തി. രാജാവിനെ എതിരേറ്റു യോർദ്ദാൻ കടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടുപോരേണ്ടതിന്നു യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാർ ഗില്ഗാലിൽ ചെന്നു.
- 16ബഹൂരീമിലെ ബെന്യാമീന്യനായ ഗേരയുടെ മകൻ ശിമെയിയും യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരോടുകൂടെ ദാവീദ്‌ രാജാവിനെ എതിരേല്പാൻ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു ചെന്നു.
