അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതു: നീ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടു ഇപ്രകാരം പറയേണം: ഞാൻ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചതു നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

- 24എനിക്കു മണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു യാഗപീഠം ഉണ്ടാക്കി അതിന്മേൽ നിന്റെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളെയും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളെയും നിന്റെ ആടുകളെയും കന്നുകാലികളെയും അർപ്പിക്കേണം. ഞാൻ എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്റെ സ്മരണ സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്ന ഏതു സ്ഥലത്തും ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും.
