അവൾ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു കുറ്റി അടിച്ചുറപ്പിച്ചുംവെച്ചു അവനോടു: ശിംശോനേ, ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ ഇതാ വരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവൻ ഉറക്കമുണർന്നു നെയ്ത്തുതടിയുടെ കുറ്റിയും പാവും പറിച്ചെടുത്തുകളഞ്ഞു.

- 15അപ്പോൾ അവൾ അവനോടു: നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കെ നീ എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ? ഈ മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യം നീ എന്നെ ചതിച്ചു; നിന്റെ മഹാശക്തി ഏതിൽ ആകുന്നു എന്നു എനിക്കു പറഞ്ഞുതന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
- 16ഇങ്ങനെ അവൾ അവനെ ദിവസംപ്രതി വാക്കുകളാൽ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിച്ചു അസഹ്യപ്പെടുത്തി; അവൻ മരിപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം വ്യസനപരവശനായി തീർന്നിട്ടു തന്റെ ഉള്ളം മുഴുവനും അവളെ അറിയിച്ചു:
