1. 9അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ നദിക്കു അക്കരെയുള്ള ദേശാധിപതിമാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു രാജാവിന്റെ എഴുത്തു അവർക്കു കൊടുത്തു. രാജാവു പടനായകന്മാരെയും കുതിരച്ചേവകരെയും എന്നോടുകൂടെ അയച്ചിരുന്നു.
2. 10ഹോരോന്യനായ സൻബല്ലത്തും അമ്മോന്യനായ ദാസൻ തോബീയാവും ഇതു കേട്ടപ്പോൾ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾക്കു ഗുണം ചെയ്‌വാൻ ഒരു ആൾ വന്നതു അവർക്കു ഏറ്റവും അനിഷ്ടമായി.
3. 11ഞാൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ എത്തി അവിടെ മൂന്നു ദിവസം താമസിച്ചശേഷം
4. 12ഞാനും എന്നോടുകൂടെ ചില പുരുഷന്മാരും രാത്രിയിൽ എഴുന്നേറ്റു; എന്നാൽ യെരൂശലേമിൽ ചെയ്‌വാൻ എന്റെ ദൈവം എന്റെ മനസ്സിൽ തോന്നിച്ചിരുന്നതു ഞാൻ ആരോടും പറഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലായിരുന്നു; ഞാൻ കയറിയിരുന്ന മൃഗം അല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരു മൃഗവും എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.
5. 13ഞാൻ രാത്രിയിൽ താഴ്‌വരവാതിൽവഴിയായി പെരുമ്പാമ്പുറവിങ്കലും കുപ്പവാതില്ക്കലും ചെന്നു യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ മതിൽ ഇടിഞ്ഞുകിടക്കുന്നതും വാതിലുകൾ തീവെച്ചു ചുട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതും കണ്ടു.
