അങ്ങനെ മോശെ ചെന്നു യഹോവയുടെ വചനങ്ങളെ ജനത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞു, ജനത്തിന്റെ മൂപ്പന്മാരിൽ എഴുപതു പുരുഷന്മാരെ കൂട്ടി കൂടാരത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റിലും നിറുത്തി.

- 25എന്നാറെ യഹോവ ഒരു മേഘത്തിൽ ഇറങ്ങി അവനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു, അവന്മേലുള്ള ആത്മാവിൽ കുറെ എടുത്തു മൂപ്പന്മാരായ ആ എഴുപതു പുരുഷന്മാർക്കു കൊടുത്തു; ആത്മാവു അവരുടെ മേൽ ആവസിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവർ പ്രവചിച്ചു; പിന്നെ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തില്ല താനും.
- 26എന്നാൽ ആ പുരുഷന്മാരിൽ രണ്ടുപേർ പാളയത്തിൽ തന്നേ താമസിച്ചിരുന്നു; ഒരുത്തന്നു എൽദാദ് എന്നും മറ്റവന്നു മേദാദ് എന്നും പേർ. ആത്മാവു അവരുടെമേലും ആവസിച്ചു; അവരും പേരെഴുതിയവരിൽ ഉള്ളവർ ആയിരുന്നു എങ്കിലും കൂടാരത്തിലേക്കു ചെന്നിരുന്നില്ല; അവർ പാളയത്തിൽവെച്ചു പ്രവചിച്ചു.
