ബിലെയാം കഴുതയോടു: “നീ എന്നെ കളിയാക്കിയതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ. എന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഒരു വാൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നേ നിന്നെ കൊന്നുകളയുമായിരുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

- 31അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ ബിലെയാമിന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നു, യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ വാളൂരിപ്പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നില്ക്കുന്നതു അവൻ കണ്ടു സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു നമസ്കരിച്ചു. യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ അവനോടു:
