The singer tells the Most High that they live under His protection and rest in the shadow of the Almighty, echoing Psalm 91:1–2. God is praised as refuge, shelter, fortress and hope.

உன்னதரின் நிழலில் பாதுகாப்பாக வாழ்கிறேன், அவரே என் அடைக்கலமும் நம்பிக்கையும்.

Echoing Psalm 91:3–6, the singer trusts that no destroying plague will come near and the hunter's snare will do no harm. God is the guarding wall and the shield.

கொள்ளை நோயும் கண்ணியும் என்னைத் தொடாது, தேவனே என் கேடகம்.

The singer has made the Creator their refuge, and the Holy One has become a protecting wall. Therefore no harm will happen and no sickness will come near, as Psalm 91:9–10 promises.

Echoing Psalm 91:11–13, the singer says an angel guards them on every path and will hold them up so their foot does not strike a stone. They will tread on the lion and walk over the serpent.
