1. 26అయినను మనష్షే యెహోవాకు పుట్టించిన కోపమునుబట్టి ఆయన కోపాగ్ని యింకను చల్లారకుండ యూదామీద మండుచునే యుండెను.
2. 27కాబట్టి యెహోవానేను ఇశ్రాయేలువారిని వెళ్లగొట్టినట్లు యూదావారిని నా సముఖమునకు దూరముగా చేసి, నేను కోరుకొనిన యెరూషలేము పట్టణమును, నా నామమును అచ్చట ఉంచుదునని నేను చెప్పియున్న మందిరమును నేను విసర్జించెదనని అనుకొనియుండెను.
3. 28యోషీయా చేసిన యితర కార్యములను గూర్చియు, అతడు చేసిన దానినంతటినిగూర్చియు యూదారాజుల వృత్తాంత ముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడియున్నది.
4. 29అతని దినముల యందు ఐగుప్తురాజైన ఫరోనెకో అష్షూరురాజుతో యుద్ధముచేయుటకై యూఫ్రటీసునది దగ్గరకు వెళ్లుచుండగా తన్ను ఎదుర్కొనవచ్చిన రాజైన యోషీయాను మెగిద్దో దగ్గర కనుగొని అతని చంపెను.
5. 30అతని సేవకులు అతని శవమును రథముమీద ఉంచి, మెగిద్దోనుండి యెరూష లేమునకు తీసికొనివచ్చి అతని సమాధియందు పాతిపెట్టిరి. అప్పుడు దేశపు జనులు యోషీయా కుమారుడైన యెహో యాహాజును తీసికొని అతనికి పట్టాభిషేకముచేసి అతని తండ్రికి మారుగా అతనిని రాజుగానుంచిరి.
