యెహోరాము రథము త్రిప్పి అహజ్యా, ద్రోహము జరుగుచున్నదని అహజ్యాతో చెప్పి పారిపోయెను.

- 24అప్పుడు యెహూ తన బలముకొలది విల్లు ఎక్కు పెట్టి యెహోరామును భుజ ములమధ్య కొట్టగా బాణము అతని గుండెగుండ దూసి పోయెను గనుక అతడు తన రథమునందే యొరిగెను.
- 25కాగా యెహూ తన అధిపతియైన బిద్కరును పిలిచి యిట్లనెను అతని ఎత్తి యెజ్రెయేలీయుడైన నాబోతు భూభాగమందు పడవేయుము; మనమిద్దరమును అతని తండ్రియైన అహాబు వెనుక గుఱ్ఱములెక్కి వచ్చినప్పుడు యెహోవా అతనిమీద ఈ శిక్షమోపిన సంగతి జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుము.
