1. 2అచ్చట ప్రవేశించినప్పుడు నింషీకి పుట్టిన యెహోషాపాతు కుమారుడైన యెహూ యెక్కడ నున్నాడని తెలిసికొని అతనిని దర్శించి, అతని సహోదరుల మధ్యనుండి అతనిని చాటుగా రప్పించి, లోపలి గదిలోకి అతనిని పిలుచుకొని పోయి
2. 3తైలపుగిన్నె తీసికొని అతని తలమీద తైలము పోసినేను నిన్ను ఇశ్రాయేలుమీద పట్టాభిషిక్తునిగా చేసితినని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడని అతనితో చెప్పి, ఆలస్యము చేయక తలుపుతీసి పారి పొమ్ము.
3. 4¸యౌవనుడైన ఆ ప్రవక్త పోవలెనని బయలుదేరి రామోత్గిలాదునకు వచ్చునప్పటికి సైన్యాధిపతులు కూర్చుని యుండిరి.
4. 5అప్పుడతడు అధిపతీ, నీకొక సమాచారము తెచ్చితినని చెప్పగా యెహూయిందరిలో అది ఎవరిని గూర్చినదని అడుగగా అతడు అధిపతీ నిన్ను గూర్చినదే యనెను; అందుకు యెహూ లేచి యింటిలో ప్రవేశిం చెను.
5. 6అప్పుడు ఆ ¸యౌవనుడు అతని తలమీద తైలము పోసి అతనితో ఇట్లనెనుఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగాయెహోవా జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలు వారిమీద నేను నిన్ను పట్టాభిషిక్తునిగా చేయుచున్నాను.
