- 31అంతలో ఒకడు వచ్చి, అబ్షాలోము చేసిన కుట్రలో అహీతోపెలు చేరియున్నాడని దావీదునకు తెలియజేయగా దావీదుయెహోవా అహీతోపెలుయొక్క ఆలోచనను చెడ గొట్టుమని ప్రార్థన చేసెను.
- 32దేవుని ఆరాధించు స్థలమొకటి ఆ కొండమీద ఉండెను. వారు అచ్చటికి రాగా అర్కీయుడైన హూషై పై వస్త్రములు చింపుకొని తలమీద ధూళి పోసికొనివచ్చి రాజును దర్శనము చేసెను.

- 34నీవు పట్టణమునకు తిరిగి పోయిరాజా, యింతవరకు నీ తండ్రికి నేను సేవచేసినట్లు ఇకను నీకు సేవచేసెదనని అబ్షాలోముతో చెప్పినయెడల నీవు నా పక్షపువాడవై యుండి అహీతోపెలుయొక్క ఆలోచనను చెడగొట్ట గలవు.
- 35అక్కడ యాజకులైన సాదోకును అబ్యాతారును నీకు సహాయకులుగా నుందురు; కాబట్టి రాజనగరియందు ఏదైనను జరుగుట నీకు వినబడినయెడల యాజకుడైన సాదోకుతోను అబ్యాతారుతోను దాని చెప్పవలెను.
