అప్పుడు రాజునీవు ప్రక్కకు తొలగి నిలిచియుండు మని వానికాజ్ఞనియ్యగా వాడు తొలగి నిలిచెను.

- 28అహిమయస్సు జయమని బిగ్గరగా రాజుతో చెప్పి రాజు ముందర సాష్టాంగ నమస్కారము చేసినా యేలినవాడవును రాజవునగు నిన్ను చంప చూచిన వారిని అప్పగించిన నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు స్తోత్రము అని చెప్పెను.
- 29రాజుబాలుడగు అబ్షాలోము క్షేమముగా ఉన్నాడా? అని యడుగగా అహిమయస్సుయోవాబు రాజసేవకుడ నైన నీ దాసుడనగు నన్ను పంపినప్పుడు గొప్ప అల్లరి జరుగుట నేను చూచితిని గాని అది ఏమైనది నాకు తెలిసినది కాదని చెప్పెను.

- 31అంతలో కూషీ వచ్చినా యేలిన వాడా రాజా, నేను నీకు శుభసమాచారము తెచ్చితిని; యీ దినమున యెహోవా నీ మీదికి వచ్చినవారినందరిని ఓడించి నీకు న్యాయము తీర్చెనని చెప్పినప్పుడు
- 32రాజుబాలుడగు అబ్షాలోము క్షేమముగా ఉన్నాడా? అని యడిగెను. అందుకు కూషీ చెప్పినదేమనగానా యేలినవాడవును రాజవునగు నీ శత్రువులును నీకు హాని చేయవలెనని నీ మీదికి వచ్చినవారందరును ఆ బాలుడున్నట్టుగానే యుందురు గాక.
