22పిమ్మట దావీదు సేవకులును యోవాబును బందిపోటునుండి బహు విస్తారమైన దోపుడు సొమ్ము తీసికొనిరాగా అబ్నేరు హెబ్రోనులో దావీదునొద్ద లేకపోయెను, దావీదు అతనికి సెలవిచ్చియున్నందున అతడు సమాధానముగా వెళ్లిపోయి యుండెను.
23అయితే యోవాబును అతనియొద్దనున్న సైన్యమును వచ్చినప్పుడు నేరు కుమారుడగు అబ్నేరు రాజునొద్దకు వచ్చెననియు, రాజు అతనికి సెలవిచ్చి పంపెననియు, అతడు సమాధానముగా వెళ్లిపోయెననియు తెలిసికొని
24యోవాబు రాజునొద్దకు వచ్చిచిత్తగించుము, నీవు ఏమిచేసితివి? అబ్నేరు నీయొద్దకు వచ్చి నప్పుడు నీవెందుకు అతనికి సెలవిచ్చి పంపి వేసితివి?
25నేరు కుమారుడగు అబ్నేరును నీవెరుగవా? నిన్ను మోసపుచ్చి నీ రాకపోకలన్నిటిని నీవు చేయు సమస్తమును తెలిసికొనుటకై అతడు వచ్చెనని చెప్పి
