1. 16యెహోవా మోషేతో యిట్లనెనుఇదిగో నీవు నీ పితరు లతో పండుకొనబోవుచున్నావు. ఈ జనులు లేచి, యెవరి దేశమున తాము చేరి వారి నడుమ నుందురో ఆ జనులమధ్యను వ్యభిచారులై, ఆ అన్యుల దేవతల వెంట వెళ్లి నన్ను విడిచి, నేను వారితో చేసిన నిబంధనను మీరుదురు.
2. 17కావున నా కోపము ఆ దినమున వారిమీద రగులు కొనును. నేను వారిని విడిచి వారికి విరోధినగుదును, వారు క్షీణించిపోవుదురు. విస్తారమైన కీడులు ఆపదలు వారికి ప్రాప్తించును. ఆ దినమున వారు, మన దేవుడు మన మధ్య నుండకపోయినందున గదా యీ కీడులు మనకు ప్రాప్తించెననుకొందురు.
3. 18వారు అన్యదేవతలతట్టు తిరిగి చేసిన కీడంతటినిబట్టి ఆ దినమున నేను నిశ్చయముగా వారికి విరోధినగుదును.
4. 19కాబట్టి మీరు కీర్తన వ్రాసి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు నేర్పుడి. ఈ కీర్తన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మీద నాకు సాక్ష్యార్థముగా నుండునట్లు దానిని వారికి కంఠపాఠముగా చేయించుము.
5. 20నేను వారి పితరులతో ప్రమాణము చేసినట్లు, పాలు తేనెలు ప్రవహించు దేశమున వారిని ప్రవేశపెట్టిన తరువాత, వారు తిని త్రాగి తృప్తిపొంది క్రొవ్వినవారై అన్యదేవతలతట్టు తిరిగి వాటిని పూజించి నన్ను తృణీకరించి నా నిబంధనను మీరుదురు.
