- 4ఎస్తేరు యొక్క పనికత్తెలును ఆమెదగ్గరనున్న షండులును వచ్చి జరిగినదాని ఆమెకు తెలియజేయగా రాణి గొప్ప మనోవిచారము కలదై మొర్దెకై కట్టుకొనియున్న గోనెపట్టను తీసివేయుమని ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చి, కట్టించుకొనుటకై అతనియొద్దకు వస్త్రములు పంపెను గాని అతడు వాటిని తీసికొనలేదు.
- 5అప్పుడు ఎస్తేరు తన్ను కనిపెట్టి యుండుటకు రాజు నియమించిన షండులలో హతాకు అను ఒకని పిలిచి అది ఏమియైనది, ఎందుకైనది తెలిసి కొనుటకు మొర్దెకైయొద్దకు వెళ్లుమని ఆజ్ఞ నిచ్చెను.

- 7మొర్దెకై తనకు సంభవించిన దంతయు, యూదులను నాశనము చేయుటకు గాను హామాను వారినిబట్టి రాజు ఖజానాకు తూచి యిచ్చెదనని చెప్పిన సొమ్ము మొత్తము ఇంత యనియును అతనికి తెలిపి
- 8వారిని సంహరించుటకై షూషనులో ఇయ్యబడిన ఆజ్ఞ ప్రతిని ఎస్తేరునకు చూసి తెలుపుమనియు, ఆమె తన జనుల విషయమై రాజును వేడుకొని అతని సముఖమందు విన్నపము చేయుటకై అతనియొద్దకు పోవలె నని చెప్పుమనియు దాని నతని కిచ్చెను. హతాకు వచ్చి మొర్దెకైయొక్క మాటలను ఎస్తేరుతో చెప్పెను.
