- 20ఇస్సాకు పద్దనరాములో నివసించు సిరియా వాడైన బెతూయేలు కుమార్తెయును సిరియా వాడైన లాబాను సహోదరియునైన రిబ్కాను పెండ్లి చేసికొన్నప్పుడు నలుబది సంవత్సరములవాడు.
- 21ఇస్సాకు భార్య గొడ్రాలు గనుక అతడు ఆమె విషయమై యెహోవాను వేడుకొనెను. యెహోవా అతని ప్రార్థన వినెను గనుక అతని భార్యయైన రిబ్కా గర్భవతి ఆయెను.
