4. 6నాల్గవ నెల తొమ్మిదవ దినమున క్షామము పట్టణములో హెచ్చుగా నున్నప్పుడు దేశ ప్రజలకు ఆహారము లేకపోయెను.
5. 7పట్టణప్రాకారములు పడగొట్టబడగా సైనికులందరు పారి పోయి రాజుతోటకు దాపైన రెండు గోడల మధ్యనున్న ద్వారపు మార్గమున రాత్రియందు పట్టణములోనుండి బయలు వెళ్లిరి; కల్దీయులు పట్టణమును చుట్టుకొని యుండగా సైనికులు యొర్దానునది మార్గముగా తర్లిపోయిరి.
