రాహాబను వేశ్య యెరికోను వేగుచూచుటకు యెహో షువ పంపిన దూతలను దాచిపెట్టి యుండెను గనుక అతడు ఆమెను ఆమె తండ్రి యింటివారిని ఆమెకు కలిగినవారినందరిని బ్రదుకనిచ్చెను. ఆమె నేటివరకు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మధ్య నివసించుచున్నది.

- 26ఆ కాలమున యెహోషువ జనులచేత శపథము చేయించి వారికీలాగు ఆజ్ఞాపించెనుఎవడు యెరికో పట్టణమును కట్టించపూనుకొనునో వాడు యెహోవా దృష్టికి శాపగ్రస్తుడగును; వాడు దాని పునాది వేయగా వాని జ్యేష్ఠకుమారుడు చచ్చును; దాని తలుపులను నిలువ నెత్తగా వాని కనిష్ఠకుమారుడు చచ్చును;
- 27యెహోవా యెహోషువకు తోడై యుండెను గనుక అతని కీర్తి దేశమందంతటను వ్యాపించెను.
