అప్పుడు వారుఈ పని యెవరు చేసినదని ఒకరితోనొకరు చెప్పుకొనుచు విచారణచేసి వెదకి, యోవాషు కుమారుడైన గిద్యోను ఆ పనిచేసినట్టు తెలిసికొనిరి.

29అప్పుడు వారుఈ పని యెవరు చేసినదని ఒకరితోనొకరు చెప్పుకొనుచు విచారణచేసి వెదకి, యోవాషు కుమారుడైన గిద్యోను ఆ పనిచేసినట్టు తెలిసికొనిరి.
30కాబట్టి ఆ ఊరివారునీ కుమారుడు బయలుయొక్క బలిపీఠమును పడగొట్టి దానికి పైగానున్న దేవతాస్తంభమును పడద్రోసెను గనుక అతడు చావవలెను, వానిని బయటికి తెమ్మని యోవాషుతో చెప్పగా
31యోవాషు తనకు ఎదురుగా నిలిచిన వారందరితోమీరు బయలు పక్షముగా వాదింతురా? మీరు వాని రక్షించు దురా? వానిపక్షముగా వాదించువాడు ఈ ప్రొద్దుననే చావవలెను; ఎవడో వాని బలిపీఠమును విరుగగొట్టెను గనుక, వాడు దేవతయైనందున తన పక్షమున తానేవాదించ వచ్చును.
