అప్పుడు యాజ కుడు అతడు చేసిన పాపమునుబట్టి పాపపరిహారార్థబలియగు పొట్టేలువలన యెహోవా సన్నిధిని అతని నిమిత్తము ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము చేయవలెను. దీనివలన అతడు చేసిన పాపము విషయమై అతనికి క్షమాపణ కలుగును.

- 23మీరు ఆ దేశమునకు వచ్చి ఆహారమునకై నానా విధములైన చెట్లను నాటినప్పుడు వాటి పండ్లను అపవిత్రముగా ఎంచవలెను. వాటి కాపు మీకు ఎక్కువగా ఉండునట్లు అవి మూడు సంవత్సరములవరకు మీకు అపవిత్రముగా ఉండవలెను, వాటిని తినకూడదు.
- 24నాలుగవ సంవత్సరమున వాటి ఫలము లన్నియు యెహోవాకు ప్రతిష్ఠితమైన స్తుతియాగ ద్రవ్యములగును; అయిదవ సంవత్సరమున వాటి ఫలములను తినవచ్చును;
