మేము పొలములకైనను ద్రాక్ష తోటలకైనను పోము; బావుల నీళ్లు త్రాగము; మేము నీ పొలిమేరలను దాటువరకు రాజమార్గములోనే నడిచి పోదుమని అతనితో చెప్పించిరి.

23అయితే సీహోను ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను తన పొలిమేరలను దాటనియ్య లేదు. మరియు సీహోను తన సమస్త జనమును కూర్చుకొని ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను ఎదుర్కొనుటకు అరణ్యములోనికి వెళ్లి, యాహజుకు వచ్చి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో యుద్ధముచేసెను.
24ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు వానిని కత్తివాత హతముచేసి, వాని దేశమును అర్నోను మొదలుకొని యబ్బోకువరకు, అనగా అమ్మోనీయుల దేశమువరకు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనిరి. అమ్మోనీయుల పొలిమేర దుర్గమమైనది.
