యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మాట ఆలకించి ఆ కానానీయులను అప్పగింపగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు వారిని వారి పట్టణములను నిర్మూలము చేసిరి. అందువలన ఆ చోటికి హోర్మా అను పేరు పెట్టబడెను.

- 4వారు ఎదోముదేశమును చుట్టి పోవలెనని హోరు కొండనుండి ఎఱ్ఱసముద్రమార్గముగా సాగినప్పుడు మార్గా యాసముచేత జనుల ప్రాణము సొమ్మసిల్లెను.
- 5కాగా ప్రజలు దేవునికిని మోషేకును విరోధముగా మాటలాడిఈ అరణ్యములో చచ్చుటకు ఐగుప్తులోనుండి మీరు మమ్ము నెందుకు రప్పించితిరి? ఇక్కడ ఆహారము లేదు, నీళ్లు లేవు, చవిసారములు లేని యీ అన్నము మాకు అసహ్యమైనదనిరి.
