1. 23నిజముగా యాకోబులో మంత్రము లేదు ఇశ్రాయేలులో శకునము లేదు ఆయాకాలములందు దేవుని కార్యములు యాకోబు వంశస్థులగు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు తెలియచెప్పబడును.
2. 24ఇదిగో ఆ జనము ఆడుసింహమువలె లేచును అది సింహమువలె నిక్కి నిలుచును అది వేటను తిని చంపబడిన వాటి రక్తము త్రాగు వరకు పండుకొనదు.
3. 25అంతట బాలాకునీవు ఏ మాత్రమును వారిని శపింపను వద్దు, దీవింపను వద్దు అని బిలాముతో చెప్పగా
4. 26బిలాము యెహోవా చెప్పినదంతయు నేను చేయవలెనని నేను నీతో చెప్పలేదా? అని బాలాకుకు ఉత్తరమియ్యగా
5. 27బాలాకు నీవు దయచేసి రమ్ము; నేను వేరొకచోటికి నిన్ను తోడుకొని పోయెదను; అక్కడ నుండి నా నిమిత్తము నీవు వారిని శపించుట దేవుని దృష్టికి అనుకూలమగునేమో అని బిలాముతో చెప్పెను.
