5. 24இஸ்ரவேலர் அன்றையதினம் மிகுந்த வருத்தம் அடைந்தார்கள்; நான் என் சத்துருக்கள் கையிலே பழிவாங்கவேண்டும். சாயங்காலமட்டும் பொறுக்காமல் எவன் போஜனம் செய்கிறானோ, அவன் சபிக்கப்பட்டவன் என்று சவுல் ஜனங்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்டுச் சொல்லியிருந்தபடியால், ஜனங்களில் ஒருவரும் எவ்வளவேனும் போஜனம்பண்ணாதிருந்தார்கள்.
