அப்படியே மாலைவேளையில் யாக்கோபு வயல்வெளியிலிருந்து திரும்பிவந்தபோது, லேயாள் அவனைச் சந்திக்கும்படி வெளியே போய், “என் மகன் ரூபன் கொண்டுவந்த தூதாயீம் மூலிகையைக் கொடுத்து நான் உம்மை வாங்கிக் கொண்டேன். எனவே இன்றிரவு நீர் என்னுடன் தங்கவேண்டும்” என்றாள். அப்படியே அவன் அன்றிரவு அவளுடன் உறவுகொண்டான்.
