அரசனின் சிறப்புக் காவல் படைத் தளபதி சண்டையிடுவோரின் மேலதிகாரியைச் சிறைப்பிடித்தான். அவர் அரசனின் ஏழு ஆலோசகர்களையும் சிறைப்பிடித்தான். எருசலேமில் அவர்கள் அப்பொழுதும் இருந்தனர். படையில் சேர்க்கின்ற எழுத்தாளனையும் அவன் பிடித்தான். அவன் நகரில் இருந்த சாதாரண ஆட்கள் 60 பேரையும் பிடித்தான்.

He took also out of the city an eunuch, which had the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king’s person, which were found in the city; and the principal scribe of the host, who mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city.

4. 26அவர்களைக் காவற்சேனாதிபதியாகிய நேபுசராதான் பிடித்து, அவர்களை ரிப்லாவுக்குப் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவினிடத்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோய் விட்டான்.
5. 27அப்பொழுது பாபிலோன் ராஜா ஆமாத் என்னும் தேசத்தின் பட்டணமாகிய ரிப்லாவிலே அவர்களை வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டான்; இவ்விதமாக யூதர்கள் தங்கள் தேசத்திலிருந்து சிறைகளாய்க் கொண்டுபோகப்பட்டார்கள்.
