3. 4சிலநாளைக்குப்பின்பு, அம்மோன் புத்திரர் இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் யுத்தம்பண்ணினார்கள்.
4. 5அவர்கள் இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் யுத்தம் பண்ணும்போது கீலேயாத்தின் மூப்பர் யெப்தாவைத் தோப்தேசத்திலிருந்து அழைத்துவரப்போய்,
5. 6யெப்தாவை நோக்கி: நீ வந்து, நாங்கள் அம்மோன் புத்திரரோடு யுத்தம்பண்ண எங்கள் சேனாதிபதியாயிருக்கவேண்டும் என்றார்கள்.
