இவர்கள் என்ன செய்ய வருகிறார்களென்று கேட்டேன்; அதற்கு அவர்: ஒருவனும் தன் தலையை ஏறெடுக்கமுடியாதபடி அந்தக் கொம்புகள் யூதாவைச் சிதறடித்ததே, அவைகளுக்குப் பயமுறுத்துகிறதற்கும், யூதாவின் தேசத்தைப் பாழாக்கத் தங்கள் கொம்பை எடுத்த தேசங்களுடைய கொம்புகளை விழத்தள்ளுகிறதற்கும் இவர்கள் வந்தார்கள் என்றார்.

“இவர்கள் என்ன செய்ய வருகிறார்கள்?” என நான் கேட்டேன். அதற்கு அவர், “யூதாவில், ஒருவனும் தன் தலையைத் தூக்காதவாறு, யூதாவைச் சிதறடித்த பிற மக்களான இந்த கொம்புகளை வெட்டி முறிக்கவும், அவர்களைப் பயமுறுத்தவுமே இந்தக் கைவினைஞர் வருகின்றார்கள். பிறநாடுகள் யூதா நாட்டு மக்களைச் சிதறடிப்பதற்காக, தங்கள் வல்லமையைப் பயன்படுத்த வந்தார்கள் என்றார்.”

நான் அவரிடம், “இந்த நான்கு ஆட்களும் என்ன செய்ய வந்திருக்கிறார்கள்?” எனக் கேட்டேன். அவர், “இம்மனிதர்கள் இக்கொம்புகளை அச்சுறுத்தி வெளியில் எறிந்துபோட வந்திருக்கின்றனர். அக்கொம்புகள் யூதாவின் ஜனங்களை அயல்நாடுகளுக்குப் பலவந்தமாக தூக்கி ‘எறிந்தன.’ அக்கொம்புகள் எவரிடமும் இரக்கம் காட்டவில்லை. அக்கொம்புகள் யூதா ஜனங்களை அயல் நாடுகளுக்குத் தூக்கி எறிவதின் அடையாளமாக உள்ளன” என்றார்.

Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These [are] the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up [their] horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.
