16इसलिये अब मैं तुझ से एक बात मांगता हूँ, मुझ से नाही न करना उस ने कहा, कहे जा।
17उस ने कहा, राजा सुलैमान तुझ से नाही न करेगा; इसलिये उस से कह, कि वह मुझे शूनेमिन अबीशग को ब्याह दे।
18बतशेबा ने कहा, अच्छा, मैं तेरे लिये राजा से कहूंगी।
19तब बतशेबा अदोनिरयाह के लिये राजा सुलैमान से बातचीत करने को उसके पास गई, और राजा उसकी भेंट के लिये उठा, और उसे दणडवत् करके अपने सिंहासन पर बैठ गयो फिर राजा ने अपनी माता के लिये एक सिंहासन रख दिया, और वह उसकी दाहिनी ओर बैठ गई।
20तब वह कहने लगी, मैं तुझ से एक छोटा सा वरदान मांगती हूँ इसलिये पुझ से नाही न करना, राजा ने कहा, हे माता मांग; मैं तुझ से नाही न करूंगा।
