4. 23और राजा सुलैमान ने यहोवा की शपथ खाकर कहा, यदि अदोनिरयाह ने यह बात अपने प्राण पर खेलकर न कही हो तो परमेश्वर मुझ से वैसा ही क्या वरन उस से भी अधिक करे।
5. 24अब यहोवा जिस ने पुझे स्थिर किया, और मेरे पिता दाऊद की राजगद्दी पर विराजमान किया है और अपने वचन के अनुसार मेरे घर बसाया है, उसके जीपन की शपथ आज ही अदोनिरयाह मार डाला जाएगा।
