उस ने कहा, ऐसा नहीं, क्योंकि यह बढ़ा उपद्रव, अर्थात् मुझे निकाल देना उस पहिले से बढ़कर है जो तू ने मुझ से किया है। परन्तु उस ने उसकी न सुनी।

Us ne kahaa, aisaa naheem, kyonki yah badhaa upadrav, arthaat mujhe nikaal denaa us pahile se badhakar hai jo too ne mujh se kiyaa hai. Parantu us ne usakee na sunee.

King James Version (KJV): And she said unto him, [There is] no cause: this evil in sending me away [is] greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.

18वह तो रंगबिरंगी कुत पहिने थी; क्योंकि जो राजकुमारियां कुंवारी रहती थीं वे ऐसे ही वस्त्रा पहिनती थीं। सो अम्नोन के टहलुए ने उसे बाहर निकालकर उसके पीछे किवाड़ में चिटकनी लगा दी।
