जिस समय तुम नरसिंगे, बांसुली, वीणा, सारंगी, सितार, शहनाई आदि सब प्रकार के बाजों का शब्द सुनो, तुम उसी समय गिरकर नबूकदनेस्सर राजा की खड़ी कराई हुए सोने की मूरत को दण्डवत् करो।

Jis samay tum narasinge, baansulee, veenaa, saarangee, sitaar, shahanaaee aadi sab prakaar ke baajom kaa shabd suno, tum usee samay girakar nabookadanessar raajaa kee khadee karaaee hue sone kee moorat ko dandavat karo.

King James Version (KJV): [That] at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:

3तब अधिपति, हाकिम, गर्वनर, जज, खजांनची, न्यायी, शास्त्री आदि प्रान्त- प्रान्त के सब अधिकारी नबूकदनेस्सर राजा की खड़ी कराई हुई मूरत की प्रतिष्ठा के लिये इकट्ठे हुए, और उस मूरत के साम्हने खड़े हुए।
4तब ढिंढोरिये ने ऊंचे शब्द से पुकारकर कहा, हे देश- देश और जाति- जाति के लोगों, और भिन्न भिन्न भाषा बोलनेवालो, तुम को यह आज्ञा सुनाई जाती है कि,
5जिस समय तुम नरसिंगे, बांसुली, वीणा, सारंगी, सितार, शहनाई आदि सब प्रकार के बाजों का शब्द सुनो, तुम उसी समय गिरकर नबूकदनेस्सर राजा की खड़ी कराई हुए सोने की मूरत को दण्डवत् करो।
6और जो कोई गिरकर दण्डवत् न करेगा वह उसी घड़ी धधकते हुए भट्ठे के बीच में डाल दिया जाएगा।
7इस कारण उस समय ज्यों ही सब जाति के लोगों को नरसिंगे, बांसुली, वीणा, सारंगी, सितार शहनाई आदि सब प्रकार के बाजों का शब्द सुन पड़ा, त्यों ही देश- देश और जाति- जाति के लोगों और भिन्न- भिन्न भाषा बोलनेवालों ने गिरकर उस सोने की मूरत को जो नबूकदनेस्सर राजा ने खड़ी कराई थी, दण्डवत् की।।
