12तब राजा ने एस्तेर रानी से कहा, यहूदियों ने शूशन राजगढ़ ही में पांच सौ मनुष्य और हामान के दसों पुत्रों को भी घात करके नाश किया है; फिर राज्य के और और प्रान्तों में उन्हों ने न जाने क्या क्या किया होगा! अब इस से अधिक तेरा निवेदन क्या है? वह भी पूरा किया जाएगा। और तू क्या मांगती है? वह भी तुझे दिया जाएगा।
13एस्तेर ने कहा, यदि राजा को स्वीकार हो तो शूशन के यहूदियों को आज की नाई कल भी करने की आज्ञा दी जाए, और हामान के दसों पुत्रा फांसी के खम्भें पर लटकाए जाएं।
14राजा ने कहा, ऐसा किया जाए; यह आज्ञा शूशन में दी गई, और हामान के दसों पुत्रा लटकाए गए।
15और शूशन के यहूदियों ने अदार महीने के चौदहवें दिन को भी इकट्ठे होकर शूशन में तीन सौ पुरूषों को घात किया, परन्तु धन को न लूटा।
16राज्य के और और प्रान्तों के यहूदी इकट्ठे होकर अपना अपना प्राण बचाने के लिये खड़े हुए, और अपने वैरियों में से पचहत्तर हजार मनुष्यों को घात करके अपने शत्रुओं से विश्राम पाया; परन्तु धन को न लूटा।
