राज्य के और और प्रान्तों के यहूदी इकट्ठे होकर अपना अपना प्राण बचाने के लिये खड़े हुए, और अपने वैरियों में से पचहत्तर हजार मनुष्यों को घात करके अपने शत्रुओं से विश्राम पाया; परन्तु धन को न लूटा।

Raajy ke aur aur praantom ke yahoodee ikatthe hokar apanaa apanaa praan bachaane ke liye khade hue, aur apane vairiyom mem se pachahattar hajaar manushyom ko ghaat karake apane shatruom se vishraam paayaa; parantu dhan ko na lootaa.

King James Version (KJV): But the other Jews that [were] in the king’s provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,

18परन्तु शूशन के यहूदी अदार महीने के तेरहवें दिन को, और उसी महीने के चौदहवें दिन को इकट्ठे हुए, और उसी महीने के पन्द्रहवें दिन को उन्हों ने विश्राम करके जेवनार का और आनन्द का दिन ठहराया।
