यदि वह सचमुच उसके यहां से चुराया गया हो, तो वह उसके स्वामी को उसे भर दे।

- 10यदि कोई दूसरे को गदहा वा बैल वा भेड़- बकरी वा कोई और पशु रखने के लिये सौपें, और किसी के बिना देखे वह मर जाए, वा चोट खाए, वा हांक दिया जाए,
- 11तो उन दोनो के बीच यहोवा की शपथ खिलाई जाए कि मैं ने इसकी सम्पत्ति पर हाथ नहीं लगाया; तब सम्पत्ति का स्वामी इसको सच माने, और दूसरे को उसे कुछ भी भर देना न होगा।
- 12यदि वह सचमुच उसके यहां से चुराया गया हो, तो वह उसके स्वामी को उसे भर दे।
- 13और यदि वह फाड़ डाला गया हो, तो वह फाड़े हुए को प्रमाण के लिये ले आए, तब उसे उसको भी भर देना न पड़ेगा।।
- 14फिर यदि कोई दूसरे से पशु मांग लाए, और उसके स्वामी के संग न रहते उसको चोट लगे वा वह मर जाए, तो वह निश्चय उसकी हानि भर दे।
