और उन्हों ने वैसा ही किया; अर्थात् हारून ने लाठी को ले हाथ बढ़ाकर भूमि की धूल पर मारा, तब मनुष्य और पशु दोनों पर कुटकियां हो गई वरन सारे मि देश में भूमि की धूल कुटकियां बन गई।

Aur unhom ne vaisaa hee kiyaa; arthaat haaroon ne laathee ko le haath badhaakar bhoomi kee dhool par maaraa, tab manushy aur pashu donom par kutakiyaam ho gaee varan saare mi desh mem bhoomi kee dhool kutakiyaam ban gaee.

King James Version (KJV): And they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

16फिर यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा, हारून को आज्ञा दे, कि तू अपनी लाठी बढ़ाकर भूमि की धूल पर मार, जिस से वह मि देश भर में कुटकियां बन जाएं।
17और उन्हों ने वैसा ही किया; अर्थात् हारून ने लाठी को ले हाथ बढ़ाकर भूमि की धूल पर मारा, तब मनुष्य और पशु दोनों पर कुटकियां हो गई वरन सारे मि देश में भूमि की धूल कुटकियां बन गई।
18तब जादूगरों ने चाहा कि अपने तंत्रा मंत्रों के बल से हम भी कुटकियां ले आएं, परन्तु यह उन से न हो सका। और मनुष्यों और पशुओं दोनों पर कुटकियां बनी ही रहीं।
19तब जादूगरों ने फिरौन से कहा, यह तो परमेश्वर के हाथ का काम है। तौभी यहोवा के कहने के अनुसार फिरौन का मन कठोर होता गया, और उस ने मूसा और हारून की बात न मानी।।
