मैं तुझ से सच सच कहता हूं, जब तू जवान था, तो अपनी कमर बान्धकर जहां चाहता था, वहां फिरता था; परन्तु जब तू बूढ़ा होगा, तो अपने हाथ लम्बे करेगा, और दूसरा तेरी कमर बान्धकर जहां तू न चाहेगा वहां तुझे ले जाएगा।

Maim tujh se sach sach kahataa hoom, jab too javaan thaa, to apanee kamar baandhakar jahaam chaahataa thaa, vahaam phirataa thaa; parantu jab too boodhaa hogaa, to apane haath lambe karegaa, aur doosaraa teree kamar baandhakar jahaam too na chaahegaa vahaam tujhe le jaaegaa.

King James Version (KJV): Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry [thee] whither thou wouldest not.
World English Bible (WEB): Most certainly I tell you, when you were young, you dressed yourself and walked where you wanted to. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you don’t want to go.”

19उस ने इन बातों से पता दिया कि पतरस कैसी मृत्यु से परमेश्वर की महिमा करेगा; और यह कहकर, उस से कहा, मेरे पीछे हो ले।
20पतरस ने फिरकर उस चेले को पीछे आते देखा, जिस से यीशु प्रेम रखता था, और जिस ने भोजन के समय उस की छाती की और झुककर पूछा हे प्रभु, तेरा पकड़वानेवाला कौन है?
