उस छुड़ानेवाले कुटुम्बी ने कहा, मैं उसको छुड़ा नहीं सकता, ऐसा न हो कि मेरा निज भाग बिगड़ जाए। इसलिये मेरा छुड़ाने का अधिकार तू ले ले, क्योंकि मुझ से वह छुड़ाया नहीं जाता।
Us chhudaanevaale kutumbee ne kahaa, maim usako chhudaa naheem sakataa, aisaa na ho ki meraa nij bhaag bigad jaae. Isaliye meraa chhudaane kaa adhikaar too le le, kyonki mujh se vah chhudaayaa naheem jaataa.

- 6उस छुड़ानेवाले कुटुम्बी ने कहा, मैं उसको छुड़ा नहीं सकता, ऐसा न हो कि मेरा निज भाग बिगड़ जाए। इसलिये मेरा छुड़ाने का अधिकार तू ले ले, क्योंकि मुझ से वह छुड़ाया नहीं जाता।
- 7अगले समय में इस्राएल में छुड़ाने के बदलने के विषय में सब पक्का करने के लिये यह व्यवहार था, कि मनुष्य अपनी जूती उतार के दूसरे को देता था। इस्राएल में गवाही इसी रीति होती थी।
- 8इसलिये उस छुड़ानेवाले कुटुम्बी ने बोअज से यह कहकर; कि तू उसे मोल ले, अपनी जूती उतारी।
