- 15ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳ ಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಅದುಲ್ಲಾಮ್‌ ಗವಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದಾವೀದನ ಬಳಿ ಗುಡ್ಡಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು. ಅದೇ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ರೆಫಾಯಿಮ್‌ ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿದಿತ್ತು.
- 16ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಗಡಿಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದನು; ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದಂಡು ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು.
- 17ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನ ಬಾಗಲ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಾವಿಯ ನೀರನ್ನು ತನಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಕೊಡುವವನಾರೆಂದು ಆಶೆಪಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
- 18ಆಗ ಆ ಮೂವರು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದಂಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನುಗ್ಗಿಹೋಗಿ ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನ ಬಾಗಲ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಾವಿಯ ನೀರನ್ನು ಸೇದಿ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು.
