ಆದರೆ ಒರ್ನಾನನು ಗೋಧಿಯನ್ನು ತುಳಿಸುತ್ತಿರು ವಾಗ ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ದೂತನನ್ನು ಕಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಅವನ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಮಂದಿ ಕುಮಾರರೂ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.

18ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನು ಗಾದನಿಗೆ--ದಾವೀದನು ಹೋಗಿ ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯನಾದ ಒರ್ನಾನನ ಕಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವ ಹಾಗೆ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳು ಅಂದನು.
19ಗಾದನು ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ದಾವೀದನು ಹೋದನು.
20ಆದರೆ ಒರ್ನಾನನು ಗೋಧಿಯನ್ನು ತುಳಿಸುತ್ತಿರು ವಾಗ ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ದೂತನನ್ನು ಕಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಅವನ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಮಂದಿ ಕುಮಾರರೂ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
21ದಾವೀದನು ಒರ್ನಾನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ದಾವೀದ ನನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಕಣದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ದಾವೀದನ ಮುಂದೆ ಮೋರೆ ಕೆಳಗಾಗಿ ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದನು.
22ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಒರ್ನಾನನಿಗೆ--ಈ ಬಾಧೆಯು ಜನರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಬಲಿ ಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಕಣದ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣ ಕ್ರಯಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡು ಅಂದನು.
