ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ದನಕುರಿಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಮೂಡಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯೂಫ್ರೇಟೀಸ್‌ ನದಿ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ವರೆಗೂ ವಾಸ ವಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
