ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನೀವು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಯಬಹುದಾದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದು ಏನೆಂದು ಹೇಗೆ ತಿಳಿದೀತು? ನೀವು ಗಾಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗಿರುವದಷ್ಟೆ.

Haageye neevu sulabhavaagi tiliyabahudaada maatugalannaadade hodare maatanaadiddu enendu hege tilideetu? Neevu gaaliyalli maatanaadida haagiruvadashte.

King James Version (KJV): So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.

9ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನೀವು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಯಬಹುದಾದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದು ಏನೆಂದು ಹೇಗೆ ತಿಳಿದೀತು? ನೀವು ಗಾಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗಿರುವದಷ್ಟೆ.
10ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ವಿಧವಾದ ಸ್ವರಗಳು ಇದ್ದರೂ ಇರಬಹುದು; ಆದರೆ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಥವಿಲ್ಲದ್ದು ಒಂದಾದರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
11ಆದದರಿಂದ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಅರ್ಥವು ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ದಿದ್ದರೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವವನಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಅನ್ಯದೇಶ ದವನಂತಿರುವೆನು; ಮಾತನಾಡುವವನು ನನಗೆ ಅನ್ಯ ದೇಶದವನಂತಿರುವನು.
