ಮದುವೆಯಿಲ್ಲದವರನ್ನೂ ವಿಧವೆಯರನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿತು ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವದೇ ನಂದರೆ--ನಾನಿರುವಂತೆಯೇ ಇರುವದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದು;

6ಹೀಗೆ ನಾನು ಅನುಮತಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಆದರೆ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯಲ್ಲ.
7ನಾನು ಇದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಇರ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಒಂದು ವಿಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ವಿಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ದೇವರಿಂದ ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ವರವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
8ಮದುವೆಯಿಲ್ಲದವರನ್ನೂ ವಿಧವೆಯರನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿತು ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವದೇ ನಂದರೆ--ನಾನಿರುವಂತೆಯೇ ಇರುವದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದು;
9ಅವರು ದಮೆಯಿಲ್ಲದವರಾದರೆ ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ; ತಾಪಪಡುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು ಉತ್ತಮ.
10ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರು ವವರಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಏನಂದರೆ--ಹೆಂಡತಿಯು ಗಂಡನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅಗಲ ಬಾರದು.
