3. 7ಆದರೆ ಆ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಎಲ್ಲರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಕೆಲವರು ಈವರೆಗೂ ವಿಗ್ರಹದ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ರೂಢಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ತಾವು ತಿನ್ನುವ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆಂದು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಬಲಹೀನವಾಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ.
4. 8ಆದರೆ ಆಹಾರವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯಾದವರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲಾರದು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾವು ತಿಂದರೆ ನಮ ಗೇನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನಾವು ತಿನ್ನದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಮಗೇನೂ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಿಲ್ಲ.
5. 9ಆದರೂ ಈ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯವು ಬಲವಿಲ್ಲದವರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಅಭ್ಯಂತರ ವಾದೀತು, ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರ್ರಿ.
