ಆಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ಬತ್ಷೆ ಬೆಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆ ಅಂದನು. ಅವಳು ಅರಸನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತಿರುವಾಗ ಅರಸನು--ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ

27ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಿಂದ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯ ವಾಯಿತೋ? ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನು ತನ್ನ ತರುವಾಯ ತನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಯಾರೆಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ನನಗೆ ನೀನು ತಿಳಿಸದೆ ಹೋದಿಯೋ ಅಂದನು.
28ಆಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ಬತ್ಷೆ ಬೆಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆ ಅಂದನು. ಅವಳು ಅರಸನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತಿರುವಾಗ ಅರಸನು--ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ
29ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ನನ್ನ ತರುವಾಯ ಆಳುವನೆಂದೂ
30ಅವನು ನನಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವನೆಂದೂ ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದೆನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಈ ದಿನ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನೆಂದೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿ ನೊಳಗಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿದ ಕರ್ತನ ಜೀವದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಡುತ್ತೇನೆಂದೂ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
